Don Balch is a full-time instructor in the Western Arkansas Technical Center at UAFS. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in occupational education from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in 1983 and his Master of Education from the University of Arkansas in 2011. He served four years in the U.S. Air Force Security Police. After his military service, he joined the Fort Smith Police Department, working in every division of the department during his career. He is a retired corporal from the Fort Smith Police Department where he was a certified crime scene analyst and technician.
