Lion Voices - Aaron Krafft
Happy Friday, Lions! Today’s #LionVoices feature is sophomore graphic design major from Fort Smith, Aaron Krafft.
Aaron said the main things that swayed his decision to come to UAFS were the affordability, and quality of the programs. “I had been eyeballing graphic design for a while and I feel like other colleges just didn’t have the tools or facilities UAFS offered. It’s just more bang for your buck.”
He also said that UAFS has had a major influence on his personal growth. “It has made me a lot more open and responsible. The people here are very well-minded, so that made it easy for me to get out of my comfort zone and open up to new people. It’s a nice little community.” Speaking more on responsibility, Aaron said “UAFS has given me a more emotional ground to deal with different things in life. It has given me the tools to be confident in my decisions and actions.”
Aaron plans to pursue a design career after he graduates. “I don’t want to limit myself to just one part of graphic design, I want to be a jack-of-all-trades. UAFS has given me the tools, and the confidence to use those tools to achieve that goal.”
Aaron says he is most proud of the community at UAFS. “You’re not just a number here, you’re a person. The teachers call you by name, care about who you are, and want to help you succeed. It’s a place you want to be.”
