The University of Arkansas - Fort Smith will host its second blood drive of the semester from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. March 31-April 1 in the Reynolds Room of the Smith-Pendergraft Campus Center.
The blood drive, which is sponsored by the UAFS Student Activities Office, is free and open to the public, and donors will receive a free T-shirt and health screening.
UAFS coordinates four blood drives annually between September and April, with two each semester. The blood is given to the Arkansas Blood Institute, who distributes it to 14 hospitals in western Arkansas, including Sparks Health System and Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith.
Appointments for the blood drive may be made by calling 479-788-7697, by emailing studentactivities@uafs.eduor by signing up at a table in the Campus Center hallway beginning March 17. Walk-ins are also welcome.
