“Triple-threat fiddle champions” will bring their musical talents to Fort Smith for a performance at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 20 as part of the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith’s Season at The Blue Lion.
Comprised of sisters Hulda, Sophia and Grace Quebe, the trio’s vocal and instrumental performance will feature western swing, vintage country and traditional Texas-style music.
Since forming in 2000, the Dallas-based group has produced three albums and toured nationally and internationally. The sisters have played with world-renowned artists including George Strait and Merle Haggard.
Stacey Jones, associate vice chancellor of campus and community events, said he is excited to bring such accomplished young talents to Fort Smith.
“The Quebe Sisters are only in their twenties and have been traveling for more than a decade,” Jones said. “They have performed with American music legends and now they will take the stage right here in Fort Smith. Everyone needs to take advantage of this opportunity to see world-class entertainment at an affordable price.”
The show is part of the university’s Season at The Blue Lion, a lineup of musical performances held at the university’s downtown venue featuring local and nationally-recognized musicians.
Tickets are $25 for the general public. For tickets or more information, contact the UAFS Box Office at 479-788-7300 or visit http://uafs.universitytickets.com.
