Welcome to Middle Childhood Education!
We believe in the power of education & the profound difference it can make in the life of a child. Middle-level learners are developing attitudes, values, and dispositions that will impact them as adults. Students will learn to guide the growth of these children so that they become lifelong learners, ethical decision-makers, and self-sufficient individuals!
Earning a middle childhood education degree will prepare you to teach 4th through
8th grades in two endorsement areas. You will be able to choose from math, science,
social studies, or English. With UAFS you'll have the opportunity to participate in
innovative practices such as Teacher Apprenticeship, a paid year-long residency program
during your senior year. You will be embedded within classes, spending extended periods
in the 4-8 classroom, & have the opportunity to earn a Special Education Endorsement
to add to your teaching license. Our graduates teach in private & public schools across the nation.
